How to Prevent Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are swollen veins that are located in the rectum region. Hemorrhoids can be divided into internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids are located inside the rectum canal whereas external hemorrhoids are located near the rectum region. Both can be treated with natural remedies Hemorrhoids can cause excruciating pain when performing the daily routine such as sitting down, taking a bath, and going to the toilet. The pain is so excruciating that people stop performing their everyday activities. People that have large hemorrhoids often have blood stains in their pants. Hemorrhoids cause itchiness in the rectum region. Scratching on the area will worsen the hemorrhoid condition.

Hemorrhoid is caused by a number of factors including constipation, heavy lifting, and diarrhea. Whenever you feel the urge to go to the toilet, you should not suppress it and delay until after a few hours later. You should attempt to go to the toilet within thirty minutes. This will lower the risk of contracting with constipation. Hard stools require more effort to move it out from the rectum. Constipation causes strain on the abdominal muscles so that the anal walls become damages and lead to hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids can be prevented by taking a high fiber diet, drinking lots of water and regular exercise. Hemorrhoid patients should not use laxatives. They should restrict the straining time to 1 minute every day. By restricting the bowel movement strain time, you will reduce the sitting time on the toilet seat. High fiber foods include vegetables, fruits, whole grains and oats can soften the stools. Soft stools help you to have smooth bowel movement and prevent you from straining to move the stool out.

According to the National Research Council (NRC), an average man needs to drink 12 cups of water in order to burn 2900 calories per day. The average woman needs to drink 9 cups of water in order to lose 2200 calories per day. One cup of water is similar to 236 ML. The water can derived from foods. In fact, the food that we eat supplies about 3-4 cups of water per day. Therefore, you should drink lots of water each day to soften your stools so that they will be easier to pass with the bowel movement. To promote good digestion, you should walk for 30 minutes every day. Good digestion will help you to have soft stools and prevent hemorrhoid. Exercising regularly will help you to maintain a fit digestive system. Sitting for a long time is one of the common causes of hemorrhoids. If you work in a office, you should attempt to stand up and walk around the office once every hour to prevent hemorrhoids.

You should avoid carrying heavy objects. Carrying heavy objects will put pressure on the abdominal muscles as well as the veins and tissues in the rectal walls.

Eating at a fixed interval will help to maintain good digestion. You should not change the eating schedule to prevent indigestion problem which can trigger the development of hemorrhoids. If you regularly skip your meals, you are more likely to contract hemorrhoid.

One thing that I find the most helpful is number five. Sometimes when I write, I just let the flow of the words and information come out so much that I loose the purpose. It’s only after editing when I realize what I’ve done. There’s defiantly a lot of great tips here I’m going to try to be more aware of.
